Obama Lifts Restrictions on Embryonic Stem Cell Research

President Barack Obama fulfilled one of his campaign promises Monday by ending restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. Most Americans support the research because it could lead to treatments and possibly even cures for a number of diseases. But the decision will not end a bitter dispute about the morality of such research.
